 Communications Manager

Hi there,

As a graduate of Information science I seem to be getting dragged into many areas that seem more like communications issues rather than information science as such - or rather the impression I had of it. This might be everything from marketing to emails, customer order information to knowledge sharing systems. As a result I wondered about moving the job slightly more towards communications but cant find good descriptions of a communications manager job on the net. They seem quite vague and mainly talk about communication strategies without saying what these are. I just wondered if it was something worth going for?
Thanks
Paul
