 VCP/Monitor combi units

I am trying to line up bids from dealers in the area (Arabian Gulf area --- United Arab Emirates in particular) to supply our library (University) with VCP (Play only) units with monitors/tv combinations -- referred to as VCP/monitor combi. However, dealers (who handle Sony and Phillips so far) are informing me that the industry standard is now VCR (not VCP) in these combis. I can always buy separate components, but given our space and electrical limitations in the building, the combis are more feasible. Does anyone know if this is truly the industry standard now and/or know if any reputable electronics companies still have what I need in stock? These can be from the UK, Australia, EU countries, etc. (NOT U.S. due to voltage difference). Thanks for any suggestions.
