Competitive intelligence (CI) concerns itself with the competitive environment, all sorts of information about your competitors, who they are, what they are doing, indeed, anything that will allow your company to get ahead and stay ahead. It's often branded as a form of corporate espionage by the ever misleading press. However, competitive intelligence professionals do have a code of conduct and every business depends to some extent on such information.
This set of resources lists six hundred odd sites that hold CI related data. There are general resources covering annual reports, professional associations, IPOs, intellectual property, search tools, etc. There are also resources listed by industry. The site as a whole is pretty US biased but there is an international section with some useful resources listed by continent and country. And many of the general resources are of use outside of the US. Handy annotations are given for each link.
There are various other useful items throughout the Fuld Web site, such as a glossary, some white paper data, brief strategic tools, and various other titbits. And if all that isn't enough, you'll find lots more introductory material on the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professional's site: http://www.scip.org/ci/
