Hi,

The January 2005 issue of VIP has been published today. A Table of Contents is available at:

http://www.vivavip.com/vip

This issue provides in-depth reviews of EBSCO's business information products: Business Source Premier, which is aimed at academic and government institutions, and Business Source: Corporate, which is targeted at corporate libraries. The reviews examine coverage of sources, basic and advanced search options, search results and much more. Special attention is paid to company and industry reports. The item also includes a review of Business Searching Interface, which EBSCO has developed for its business information users. The new interface is still under development and VIP is the first publication to review it.

This month's issue also includes a feature on why ELC International believes that there is still a demand for company directories. The item includes a review of the UK's Largest 3,000 Companies CD-ROM.

The products covered in VIP are suggested by the VIP community. Please send me your ideas confidentially at pam.foster@vivaVIP.com or post them at the VIP Lounge at:

http://www.vivaVIP.com

Regards,
Pam Foster,
Editor, VIP
