My name is Richard Hill and I am Twenty Three years old. I graduated with a Ba (Hons) in History in 2004. I am eager to use my degree as i enjoyed the process of research and gathering information immensely.
The information Industry was something that was unfortunately never came across at various Careers meetings and exhibitions. I have recently found out about it and am intrigued. I am (somewhat ironically) finding it hard to find information on the industry though.
I have a few questions that i would be extremely grateful if you could help me out with:
1. What exactly is the Information industry? Who is all the research for?
2. What are the pay scales within the Information industry?
3. Is it necessary to carry out an information management course to get a job in the industry? Is "On Site" training possible?
4. Are the placements that you list on your site (to get experience to get onto a course) paid or voluntary ?
I appreciate that your time is extremely important and that I am asking for quite a lot of information, but as I say i am finding it extremely hard to get some information.
