Not sure whether any other FreePinters have encountered this, but when a search in Google using the INURL: function is run, it will only display 100 results and the next page comes up with the error message:
"We're sorry...
... but we can't process your request right now. A computer virus or spyware application is sending us automated requests, and it appears that your computer or network has been infected.
We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your computer is free of viruses and other spurious software.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google."

Is the sending of requests for more than 100 INURL: results being wrongly interpreted by the search engine as "repeated requests" (though it does not do this with ordinary text searches) or have they really got a problem with spyware?
On immediately submitting further search requests, the problem seems to vanish, so having to "restore access as quickly as possible" is probably unneccessary.
I'm baffled...any views/ideas? |
