Hello,

I'm looking for guidelines or best practices for "version numbering" a document. For example, a draft version might be Version 0.8, whereas the approved draft goes to publication as Version 1.00.00. Small changes might make it version 1.00.01, but a more major revision or addition could make it version 1.50.00. Is there a standard already set out for this? I believe that there is such a thing in software development.

Thank you.
