Hi Dave
It's true that Altavista.com hasn't updated its index for a long time, even longer for its regional sites, such as Altavista.co.uk. But don't take this on its own as a sign that Altavista is irreversibly slipping away. It may well be in trouble but I certainly wouldn't put money on its imminent demise.
