My son Jamie is currently studying a degree with the OU. It's a non-nameable, multi-disciplinary, yet thoroughly scientific and technological degree.
He aims in 2007 to start a doctorate research project and - as part of a continuing career - to take in more disciplines within science and technology, rather than go for ever-increasing specialisation.
But how to root out an interesting and appropriate opportunity for such a project?
He's discussed it with me and - as a long time admirer of "Free Pint", its readers and contributors - I volunteered to post this query here.
Can anyone direct me (us) towards organisations that best unify various disciplines of science and technology in research?
Lateral thinking warmly welcomed.
Michael Young.
That's an interesting site.
I've emailed Dr Fisher with a copy of my original query for a reaction.
