I am currently researching recent literature in the area of the third world and how it is trying to move to an information based rather than industrial/agricultural economy.

Could anyone direct me to mailing lists, discussion rooms etc regarding the issue of the third world/developing countries (Africa, Latin America and Asia) and the transition to an information based economy/society?
This includes those which discuss the effects of globalisation on the third world.
