hello!
My name is Adriana and I am looking for a piece of advice.I came across this forum accidentally while searching the web and I saw a lot of competent answers to people interested in a career in librarianship.
Now,this is along story, but I will try to make is short.
I graduated 3 years ago from a Library and Museum Studies School in Romania, but have not worked in the area of librarianship until now (instead I've travelled and lived abroad doing something else).
Now I have finally decided I want to work as a librairan or maybe study for a Master s degree, but I would prefer doing it abroad.
I've tried to apply for some traineeships in UK, but they all required a work permit, which I don't have.
Now, my question is: does anybody have an idea where I should start from (or maybe pick up the thread from where I've left it?) I would really want to get some experience before trying to apply for a job.
Thank you all for reading this and I hope this was not too much to ask for, but then you guys seemed to be so kind and helpful to everybody,
So, greetings and hope to hear from you,
Adriana
