"ReadyImages is CCC�s image subscription service, designed specifically for the
corporate market. Launched in October 2008, it is a global database of approximately
1.8 million high-quality, pre-approved images.
CCC recognises that corporations use electronic images, obtained from other sources,
in a multitude of enterprise-wide ways, for example for sales and marketing, HR, IT,
operations, finance, customer service and training. Many images, currently available
through a number of sources, including the Internet, may not only be unlicensed, and
therefore a potential copyright infringement risk, but difficult to effectively search
and navigate. Images may also be of unreliable or poor resolution quality and incur
additional costs. Likewise, clip art, provided with many popular software packages,
does not provide permission for business use."
