Conferences and exhibitions are often the cornerstone of professional development but it's easy not to make the most of these events by not spending enough time beforehand planning, and then not building on what you've learned and who you met. On the other hand, if you are organising the event itself, access to a seven-point framework from someone who has been at the sharp end would be very useful. And, if you are concerned about the quality of the speakers, you could try peer-reviewed predux sessions. Remember post conference is important too so make sure you develop those links on LinkedIn.
